The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, byJ.R.R. Tolkien, is a 458 page adventure telling of another place called Middle-Earth. It concerms The Fellowship of the Ring ( composed of 4 hobbits, 3 men, 1 dwarf, and 1 elf) as they attempt to destroy the One Ring( a ring with the power to destroy the world) so Sauron( the Supreme Evil) cannot have it. The main character is Frodo Baggins, a hobbit( short,rrotund timid people), and is backed by Sam, Pipin, Mary( also hobbits) Aragorn( a ranger), Gandalf ( a wizard) and Boromir( all men), Legolas( an elf), and Gimli( a dwarf).
