The Hunger Games
The Hunger Games, by Suzanne Collins, is part of a trilogy of the same name that takes a look at a world that may not be to far away, where the deepest fears are real, and even the purest heroes are tainted. It tells about Panem, a country built from the ruins of North America. A shining capitol surounded by twelve districts. And then there are the Hunger Games, a competion where a boy and a girl between 12 and 18 from each district fight eachother to death. On live TV. Enter Katniss Everdenn, a 16 year old girl who took her sisters place in the games. Unfourtanetly for her , the other tribute is Peeta Melark, a boy who she owes a debt to. And in the arena, where only one can win and 23 must die, debts are dangerous.
